Reviews

Comfortable, warm and looks great

"I absolutely love my advance wetsuit. When I bought it I was comparing with a slightly cheaper Zone3 wetsuit and there was a very obvious difference in the comfort and softness of the neoprene in the Advance. I initially bought this as a summer wetsuit but am still wearing it in below 8 degree water and it's keeping me warm enough (paired with gloves, socks and neoprene swim hat). I've swum up to 5 km in this wetsuit and found it very comfy with no rubbing on the back of my neck. One word of warning is to always keep the little bit of fabric on the velcro when not in use as the inside of this suit gets damaged really easily if the velcro gets stuck to it."

I like the feel of

"I like the feel of the wetsuit, it’s a lot more flexible than my previous cheaper more basic wetsuit and the oval comfort is great. I wasn’t sure if I needed it a bigger size since weighing 73 kg, 180 cm height and my chest circumference was 102 cm. I’ve contacted zone three who were very helpful, also looking at photographs and reassured me that this is the right size for me. I need help to close it, I had the same issue with a my previous wetsuit, but I assume that’s due to the snug fit, which will prevent excess water coming in."

— Frank M. (5/5)

This is the third Advance

"This is the third Advance I have had, partially because they fit (the most important ting for a wetsuit) may only real complaint is that the collar and wrists often go before the rest of the suit, and there is no easy way to get a repair. I understand they have to be flexible. I did see the advance thermal in a shop and wished I had waited as the collar looked more robust."

— David E. (5/5)

Looks good, slightly expensive but

"Looks good, slightly expensive but not awful value. I would expect a slightly more durable product that has a better tailored fit for the cost. Overall I used it for my open water swim and it worked well. You will need to buy good chafe protection though because it can leave very painful rashes, especially on your neck. Repairs."

— Rory S. (4/5)

Good Product, upper body fits

"Good Product, upper body fits well, but the lower half of the wetsuit is a bit big form me. that said, it made it very easy to get on / off. Flexibility and warmth were both spot on."

— Stuart P. (4/5)

My first wetsuit (so not

"My first wetsuit (so not an expert!) but it was great to wear! Excellent buoyancy. True to size. Really enjoyed swimming in it!"

— Heena K. (5/5)

Only worn it once so

"Only worn it once so far, found it to be comfortable, non restrictive, didn’t chafe and kept me warm so couldn’t be better."

Q&A

Hi. I am female, 183 cm tall and around 77 Kg. I am long limbed with a relatively short torso. Would large or XL be best for triathalon and longer distance swim?
Provided your chest measurement is comfortably within the range 94-99cm, we believe that the Large would offer you the most comfortable fit. If you need any further assistance with sizing please contact us at hello@zone3.com
Hi, Will this wetsuit be suitable for the current summer temperatures, and perhaps just see me through until say the end of September? I'm looking at Thermal Aspire for later on but I need something for the inbetween times if you see what I mean! Sarah
The Advance wetsuit will be suitable for most temperatures experienced during the main triathlon season, however, all swimmers will have an individual response to water temperature. Please contact our customer services team if you require more individual advice on your wetsuit selection.
What temperatures can this suit go down to (if that makes sense!)? I'm looking for something that will take me through winter open water. Will be adding gloves, socks, etc.
We would recommend looking at the Women's Thermal Aspire, currently on sale for £249.50. You can also go for the Advance model and add neoprene base layers during the cold season: neoprene swimming costume, neoprene kneeskin or warmth vest.
Bonjour, Cette combinaison est elle homologuée FINA ?
Hi! Yes, the Women's Advance wetsuit is FINA Approved.
Hi I am a UK dress size 14-16, 173cm tall. Which size shall I choose for WOMEN'S ADVANCE WETSUIT? Many thanks Ting
Hi Ting. If you can please provide us with your height, weight and chest measurements we will do our best to point you in the right direction. Regards, Adam
